lisabreen.studio is a Melbourne-based design practice established in 2022 by interior designer and creative director Lisa Breen. Specialising in full-service residential design, art and furniture curation, her work is defined by a deeply considered and intuitive approach to how we live — and how the spaces we live in shape our wellbeing. How a space makes you feel is of paramount importance. It can shape our thoughts, our behaviours and our sense of self.

At the core of her work is the belief that good design begins with the human experience. Each project begins with curiosity — understanding the client’s story and drawing on context, narrative, personal objectives and functionality in order to develop a unique response to each brief, thoughtfully reinterpreting spaces for modern life.

Early in her career as a photographer based in Tokyo, Lisa developed an acute appreciation of light, proportion and balance — sensibilities that remain unmistakably present in her work today.

Her career has since spanned some of Australia's most respected residential developers through to the considered, detail-driven work of her own studio. She moves fluidly across scales and project types — from ground-up construction and apartment customisation to whole-home renovations and creative collaboration.

The result is interiors that balance the contemporary with the timeless, the unexpected with the enduring — nuanced homes of quiet luxury, designed around the people living in them.
